Velotric Discover 2 Ebike

Just purchased my D2. Initially I purchased an e-bike on Amazon. Class 2 very thin tires, entry level step thru. I put about 700 miles on it. Began research on an upgraded e-bike in September. I chose Velotric for its all around performance and safety features (turn signals,adjustable lights). I’ve had my D2 for a month. Like going from a Yaris to a Rolls Royce. Comfortable ride, wider tires, and torque/cadence system. Getting more exercise with torque setting. From the moment I got on it, I knew I made the right choice.

Recently relocated to a small college city, just outside of a small beach town. Wanted a bike that I could commute ~20 minutes to/from beach, and take on long-trail rides, maybe some around town riding. MY spouse and I decided to each get one. After researching and test riding several different brands/models, we landed on Discover 2. Ordered from Velotric, and built them myself (first time building a bike). Relatively easy with patience to build them (though warning, they are heavy and put a lot of lower-back pressure when lifting the frame to install the front wheel). Amazing to ride these bikes. Very comfortable out of the box, though we did add on the suspension seatpost and ComfortMax seats for an even more comfortable ride. We generally pedal a lot, with PAS on 0 often, and now starting to do more PAS 1 and 2. So, yes, they are fine to pedal without PAS, just make sure you are in lower gears when starting from a stop.

I have a cherry crimson D2, Size: Regular due to my Short height of 5,1" with 1,029.8 miles. I love it dearly. It was my dream bike. I've had it since May 29th of this year. The only thing I had to do was replace the rear inner tube and that was it. Other than that it has not given me any problems. I originally was riding a refurbished 16 inch folding electric bike from 2021 due to it being in my budget range. And the fact that I've never owned one in my life.

Though I have tested out a few before. But it was just getting old and worn out, I had already put a new inner tube on the rear tire at a bike shop that works on any brand of electric bike. I was lucky enough to have my friend who had an operational car at the time to take it to the shop. But ever since his car went down in early January of this year due to the transmission going out, I knew that if something else went wrong... Especially catastrophically wrong I would be screwed! I would be completely stranded. Plus it doesn't have puncture resistant tires like my D2.

With that in mind. The D2 has excellent range and battery life. Plus it is waterproof! I'll never buy another electric bicycle again. I have ran through all three modes.

Eco mode I just use to cruise around. Laid back. Chill...

Trail Mode: climbing up hills when I'm going to the grocery store and whatnot.

Boost Mode: Well. If I'm in a rush, and heading to my best friend's place.

I did a lot of research before purchasing my bike. I went to 4 different bike dealers and rode all kinds of different bikes and models.

When I went to my local Velotric dealership I rode every model they had. Sent 2.5 hours with Sam & Liz before making the decision.

I ordered my green bike and paid on full before leaving. My only regret was it was discounted online 3 days after I picked up my ride and a upgraded seat post was included which was not offered with mine even though I paid full price. Ultimately some days win andsomethingyou, you lose .

I still feel like a winner and plan on trying to purchase, and upgradeed seat post as soon as I can afford it.

I also purchased my wife a Discover 1 plus online a few days after getting mine .

We are very happy with our bikes and have put almost a 100 miles on them in 3 weeks.

I have already told some of my buddies about the new Velotric bikes.
